Our Exploration of
Italian Villages
15 glorious days in Italy
Join us on a journey through the hills of Italia
William and I value experiences over "checklists" when traveling. For example, we enjoy taking cooking classes to learn more about regional foods. We like to try something new too (no, skydiving is not going on that list, but we did ride a hot air balloon in Spain!). We really enjoy getting off the beaten path. And, we love to seek out restaurants mostly patronized by locals, just to see how other folks live! This tour of Italian villages was a perfect fit for us.

Learning languages is a not gift for either of us, so sometimes communicating with people who do not speak English can be an entertaining challenge (Ask about what happened we ended up at the wrong train station in Madrid!). Thank goodness for Google Translate and for our Italian lessons provided by Sarah, our totally fabulous Rick Steves tour guide, and by our fellow traveler, Louise.
